Children & Youth

Welcome to Children’s and Youth Ministry at St. George's! Our ministry seeks to create a space where young people are invited to explore, to serve, and to experience the love of God. We strive to foster a lifelong foundation of service, truth, community, compassion, and wonder through Christ. Want to learn more? Below are brief descriptions of the various offerings.

Please contact James Post, Children’s and Youth Minister, at to join! Each of these programs is open to all who would like to join.

"Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:3

Sunday Family Eucharist
~Returning Soon~

Won’t you join us for Church? We are inviting all families to join us for Family Eucharist! While open to all, this service is designed for families with grade-school aged children and their parents. We will gather around the low altar for a 40-minute service of music, storytelling, praying, Holy Eucharist, and more! Most wonderfully though this is an opportunity to grow in community with the other families of St. George's.

Sunday School
Resumes August 22nd

Held weekly at 9:30 am, Sunday School uses games, discussion, crafts, and prayer to explore The Gospel together. What is the “Good News?” Why is it important? How can it help me and others? Children and youth of all ages are invited to come and dive into these mysteries each week.

Middle School Youth Group

With events held monthly, this is a wonderful opportunity for those youth in Middle School to come together with their friends. Trips to soccer games, eating meals together, and serving our community are just some of the ways we do this together. Feel free to bring a friend and we look forward to seeing you!

Confirmation and Catechesis

As children grow older and develop their faith lives there are a couple of wonderful milestones along the way. To mark these at St. George’s we offer children’s classes around Holy Communion, as well as preparing young adults for Confirmation.

The classes are designed to explore what each of these sacraments means for Chirstian living, as well as what they mean to the students as an individual. While these classes rely upon scripture, church history, and prayer, they are meant to extend an invitation of loving exploration rather than indoctrination.

Acolytes, Readers, & Musicians

At St. George’s we have a wonderful tradition of youth leaders during our service. Whether it is through the sharing of their musical talents, reading lessons, or serving as acolytes, we rely upon our youth to lead us in our liturgy. Youth who would like to participate should contact the following for more information and steps for training.

Acolytes - TBD

Musicians - Donna Clavijo,
